Is This The Scariest Hike In The US?

scariest hike

This trail is considered one of the most spectacular hikes in Zion National Park. Located in southwestern Utah, the park is known for its incredible canyons, tall sandstone cliffs, and stunning landscapes. It’s also one of the scariest and steepest trails in the entire US.

The trail is five miles round-trip, and the steepness of the climb is what makes the hike so iconic. The last half-mile is a narrow ridge with steep drop-offs on either side, and the trail is secured with chains in some sections, making it especially daunting. Despite the dangers, the view from the summit is simply breathtaking. The trail is none other than, of course, Angels Landing. And the views from Angels Landing are some of the best in the park.

At the top, you can see the Virgin River, the Temple of Sinawava, and the Great White Throne, the largest and most distinctive feature of the park. You can also take in stunning views of the surrounding canyons and desert from the summit. The hike to the summit of Angels Landing may be one of the most difficult and dangerous hikes in Zion National Park, but the view from the top is worth the effort.

So what do you think? Most dangerous trail in all of the US, or not?
